Driving Safer Prescribing: Optimizing PMP Utilization in Practice

 

The Arizona Controlled Substances Prescription Monitoring Program (CSPMP) provides more than just the patient utilization report. The program offers additional features that aid prescribers in many ways, including:

 

  • Better-informed prescribing decisions
  • More efficient use of the PMP
  • Protection of professional information (DEA Number)

 

The CSPMP has produced a 36-minute video highlighting the new features and reviewing some older tools still available on the AWARxE web portal, that continue to be helpful to users. The video is available on the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy YouTube channel, so it is available at your convenience.
